In Edmund Stearn's mind? Maud Stearn Edmund's daughter now an elderly lady who still lives at Wake's End agrees to come back to the terrible events which took place over five decades earlier And by doing so she manages to save her family homeIt is very difficult to write about this novel without adding any spoilers let me just add that WAKENHYRST for me is a most fine example of the gothic novel and a delight for the genre lovers
